Analysis on the Harmfulness of Low Temperature Dew Point Corrosion of Steel Rolling Heating Furnace
Release time:2017-01-14      The number of clicks:361

In recent years, one of the issues that the Chinese government has explored and reformed the road to industrialized production includes measures to reduce environmental pollution and resource waste caused by furnace production. In the continuous development of energy-saving work on steel rolling furnaces, low-temperature dew point corrosion The harm has to be mentioned.

SO₃ needs to react with water vapor below 400℃ to generate H₂SO₄ steam. Therefore, the exhaust temperature of the steel rolling furnace is required to be lower and lower, which provides conditions for the generation and condensation of sulfuric acid vapor.

Strong low-temperature dew point corrosion often occurs on the heat exchange tube surfaces of waste heat recovery equipment such as air preheaters and waste heat boilers. Even in less than one year of operation, the heat exchange tube bundles are severely corroded and perforated, making the steel rolling furnace unable to normal operation.

It can be seen that low-temperature dew point corrosion has become a major obstacle to lowering the temperature of furnace exhaust gas and improving thermal efficiency.
